How does the process of coaching work?
Coaching starts when you, the executive level professional, realize that there is something that you lack. People aren´t responding as well as you like. Results are not happening as they should. Teams are not pulling together as planned.
You make a difficult call and start a process that will be transformative, if you let it.
Then you and I talk. You evaluate to determine if I fit your style and I do the same.
You then take an online assessment which gives us both a better view of how you learn, perform, and are motivated. You know much of this already. The assessment gives a framework to guide our coaching work.
You and I determine who will be your stakeholders. Stakeholders are six to nine individuals who have an interest and investment in your progress and are willing to participate in interviews with me throughout the process. My initial interview establishes a baseline and subsequent, bi-monthly interviews, provide ongoing feedback on our progress.
With the information in place from the assessment and from the stakeholder interviews, we establish the goals for the coaching. We will meet bi-weekly throughout a six month period. Sessions are normally by phone or skype and last from 90 minutes to two hours. You are in charge of your learning and will determine how each session will best meet your needs. There will be constant evaluation from my side to assure that the sessions meet your expectations and that we are on-target for our goals.
